Fliter Element:
This replacement element is made of the following material:
CS-Ultra (Carbon-cylinder + Silver + Ultra-membranes): Activated carbon treated with Nano-Silver in combination with Ultra membranes.
2in1: C-Ultra / CS-Ultra Filter Element:
- Activated carbon cylinder with a pore size of 1 micron.
The activated carbon consists of 100% organic material (coconut shell) and has a very high adsorption capacity. Activated carbon adsorbs odor, color and taste, metals such as lead, as well as molds, chlorine, medicine residue and other chemicals.
The CS-Ultra variant has colloidal (Nano) silver applied to the Activated Carbon cylinder. This has an anti-bacteriological effect and makes this water filter very suitable in situations with a high contamination level of micro-organisms, for example Cholera
- Ultrafiltration membranes with a pore size of 0.03 micron.
Filters: Pathogenic organisms: Log 6 bacterial reduction: >99.9999% (including Cholera, Shigella, Typhus, Klebsiella Terrigena, Legionella and e. Coli) and Cysts / Protozoa (including Giardia and Cryptosporidium)
Micro- and Nano plastics from a size of 0.03 microns (300 nanometers)
- Optional: Sediment Filter Sleeve
The Sediment Filter Sleeve is very effective in filtering coarser contaminants in the water such as sand, mud and clay. The Filter Sleeve extends the life of the activated carbon and the ultrafiltration membranes, which will be less likely to clog.
This single filter is capable of producing safe and clean drinking water of high quality. The filter works without the addition of chemicals and is made up of maintenance-free and corrosion-free parts.
High Capacity:
Ultra membranes with more length than our standard ultra membranes. This provides more capacity and therefore more water flow.
How do I prepare / prime the AQUA Logic Gravity Filter Element?
Option 1: Suction
Use the suction hose for this, with which the filter element can be filled with water: Attach the suction hose onto the filter outlet and immerse the filter element completely under water. Then suck on the hose until no more air bubbles are visible in the hose.
Option 2: Water Pressure
Turn the union nut with the flat side up on the filter element a bit so that 1 of the rubber rings just fits on top. Press the element with the rubber ring firmly against the tap. Open the tap until a fairly gentle stream of water comes out. A flow too strong is not helpful because then the water will spray in all directions, and a flow that is too soft will not give enough pressure. You have to make sure that the rubber ring fits exactly on the tap so that the water goes directly through the filters and thus pushes the air out. You will then see that the filter element will allow water to pass from top to bottom and the filter element will become saturated with water in this way.
