The AQUA Logic Inline - Anti Limescale is a water softener that can be installed between an existing water pressure system. Often at home in the sink cabinet. Our Mission
AQUA Logic drinking water filters have been developed and produced by Innologic BV on behalf of the IBOTA Foundation. The initiative stemmed from the demand for safe and clean drinking water in emergency situations such as disaster and underdeveloped areas.
The IBOTA Foundation aims to provide filters for drinking water treatment in disaster areas and any other situation where clean and safe drinking water is not readily available. Components of these drinking water filters are produced in India as a project for underprivileged youth. By purchasing this drinking water filter, you contribute to this project.
Mounting the Inline 3/8 - Water Softener
- Place this water filter just before or as close as possible to the tap which you would like to use for your drinking water.
- To connect the filter, the supplied 3/8 inch hose tails or 3/8 inch nipples with o-rings must be screwed into the cover. The supply hose or water pipe to the existing tap can be cut, after which the filter is placed between this supply hose or water pipe (if necessary with a hose clamp). Pay attention to the current direction (IN/OUT).
- The filter can be mounted on the side or rear wall of the (flush) cabinet using the supplied wall bracket. Please note that there must be at least 10 cm of clearance under the system to allow unscrewing of the bowl and filter cartridge. The filter can be easily removed for maintenance via the lock holes in the wall bracket.
Commissioning the Anti-Limescale Water Softener
1. The filter must be vented during commissioning. Press and hold the (black) bleed button on top of the filter cover (while pressurized, closed tap) until all the air has escaped.
2. Let a new filter element run for 1 minute before use. After this, the filtered water is suitable for consumption.
Technical Details:
• Cartridge capacity: 4 cubic meters/°F (hardness) @ 1.5 liters/minute (max. flow rate)
• Scientific formula: 4 cubic meters @ 1°F (hardness). This means that the total treatment capacity may vary based on the water hardness level. For example, 4000 liters @ 1°F and 400 liters @ 10°F.
(French degrees (°F) is a unit used to indicate water hardness, with a higher number indicating harder water.)
This means that the AQUA Logic water filter cartridge is effective for treating 4 cubic meters of water with a hardness of 1°F. However, the total treatment capacity may vary depending on how hard the water is. For instance, if the water has a hardness of 1°F, the cartridge can treat 4000 liters, but if the water has a hardness of 10°F, the cartridge can only treat 400 liters before it may need replacement. In summary, the filter performs better with softer water and may treat less with harder water.
Estimated Lifespan: approximately 6 months or 2,000 liters (depending on water quality and flow rate) with a medium water hardness up to a maximum of 14 °dH.
User Manual for Regenerating the Anti-Limestone Filter Element:
1. Close the water supply and, if applicable, open the tap to release water pressure from the system.
2. Unscrew the filter housing counterclockwise. The filter element will detach along with the housing.
Tip: Perform this operation over a sink or basin.
3. Pour out the remaining water and let the filter element drain for 30 minutes.
4. Measure 500 milliliters of water and add 100 grams of (kitchen) salt. Stir until the salt is completely dissolved.
5. Place the filter element in the bowl of the filter housing.
6. Pour the salty water into the filter element in the bowl and let it sit for at least one hour.
7. Pour out the salty water afterward and let the cartridge drain for approximately 30 minutes.
8. Put the cartridge back into the housing and screw the filter housing tightly.
Note: Ensure that the flat ring and the black O-ring are in the correct positions.
9. Open the water supply and flush the system for one minute. The anti-scale filter is now ready for use.
