Product description

The AQUA Logic Gravity Mini water filter functions by means of gravity. The water flows slowly from the top Water Container, through the filter, into the bottom Water Container. The water reservoirs have a capacity of 10 liters each.

Emergency drinking water filter

Our water filters are being used worldwide in emergency and disaster situations where there is a lack of clean and safe drinking water. Disease caused by contaminated water is unfortunately the number 2 cause of death worldwide and even the number 1 cause of death among children up to 5 years old. Often more people die from the disaster after the disaster than from the disaster itself. With your purchase you support the work of the IBOTA Foundation and making this water filter available to those in need.

Taste experience

It is often said that there is no arguing about taste. Many users of this water filter find that the filtered water tastes better. Especially when there is chlorine in the water, this is reduced by the activated carbon and the taste is greatly improved. However, there are also users who find the filtered water less tasty. In the core of this water filter it is intended to provide clean and safe drinking water in emergency situations.

Filter Element:

The Filter Element is made of the following material:
C-Ultra (Carbon-cylinder + Ultra-membranes): Activated carbon in combination with Ultra membranes.

2in1: C-Ultra / CS-Ultra Filter Element:
  1. Activated carbon cylinder with a pore size of 1 micron.
The activated carbon consists of 100% organic material (coconut shell) and has a very high adsorption capacity. Activated carbon adsorbs odor, color and taste, metals such as lead, as well as molds, chlorine, medicine residue and other chemicals.

The CS-Ultra variant has colloidal (Nano) silver applied to the Activated Carbon cylinder. This has an anti-bacteriological effect and makes this water filter very suitable in situations with a high contamination level of micro-organisms, for example Cholera
  2. Ultrafiltration membranes with a pore size of 0.03 micron.
Filters: Pathogenic organisms: Log 6 bacterial reduction: >99.9999% (including Cholera, Shigella, Typhus, Klebsiella Terrigena, Legionella and e. Coli) and Cysts / Protozoa (including Giardia and Cryptosporidium)
Micro- and Nano plastics from a size of 0.03 microns (300 nanometers)
  3. Optional: Sediment Filter Sleeve
The Sediment Filter Sleeve is very effective in filtering coarser contaminants in the water such as sand, mud and clay. The Filter Sleeve extends the life of the activated carbon and the ultrafiltration membranes, which will be less likely to clog.
This single filter is capable of producing safe and clean drinking water of high quality. The filter works without the addition of chemicals and is made up of maintenance-free and corrosion-free parts.

Filter characteristics

This Gravity Blue model has space and the possibility to place and use a second water filter element.
All parts are Food-Grade and BPA-Free.
It has an flow rate of approximate 9 liters per hour. The flow rate may decrease overtime.

Shelf life and Life Span:

Unused, the filter has an almost unlimited shelf life (store in a cool, dry and dark place)
The recommended period of use (daily usage) is 1 year.

Note: The actual life span of this water filter will depend on the level of contamination in the water source. As long as there is water coming out through the filter, will this water be suitable drinking water because it has been filtered through the ultra-membranes, provided the water filter is used as explained in this user manual.

How to use this water filter

Always use the most clean water source that is available and preferably use the filter in a clean environment.
  1. First of all, the recommended replacement date of the water filter must be indicated on the supplied date sticker and must be visibly pasted on the water filter.

  2. Install the tap in the lower water container. Make sure there is 1 sealing ring on the inside of the water container and 1 on the outside. Tighten the nut on the inside securely.
  3. Before the filter can be used, the filter element must be completely saturated with water:

    Option 1: Suction
Use the suction hose for this, with which the filter element can be filled with water: Attach the suction hose onto the filter outlet and immerse the filter element completely under water. Then suck on the hose until no more air bubbles are visible in the hose.

    Option 2: Water Pressure
Turn the union nut with the flat side up on the filter element a bit so that 1 of the rubber rings just fits on top. Press the element with the rubber ring firmly against the tap. Open the tap until a fairly gentle stream of water comes out. A flow too strong is not helpful because then the water will spray in all directions, and a flow that is too soft will not give enough pressure. You have to make sure that the rubber ring fits exactly on the tap so that the water goes directly through the filters and thus pushes the air out. You will then see that the filter element will allow water to pass from top to bottom and the filter element will become saturated with water in this way.
  4. The filter element can now be mounted in the water container. Insert the filter outlet, with a sealing ring on it, through the hole in the bottom of the water container. Place a second sealing ring around the filter outlet and tighten the union nut securely.
  5. Place the two water containers on top of each other and fill the top one with the water which is to be purified.
  6. First flush a new filter element with 3 to 4 liters of water. After this, the filtered water is suitable for consumption.

A layer of water containing the sediment / settlings always remains in the waste water reservoir. The purpose of settling is the removal of undissolved particles from the water. If the density of the particles is greater than that of water, they move to the bottom under the influence of gravity. Discard this layer of water when refilling the water reservoir.

The filter element can be easily cleaned when the waterflow decreases.
  1. If a Sediment Filter Sleeve is used: remove the Filter Sleeve and rinse it well.
  2. The filter element surface can be sanded clean using the integrated Cleaning Pad. Then rinse the filter element with water.
Clean the water containers regularly by washing them with water and soap and then rinsing them with clean water.
How to store after usage
Wet: store the filter in the refrigerator. We recommend adding Cosil47 Water Filter Disinfectant solution:
  1. Fill the top water container with clean (filtered) water and add Cosil47 Colloidal Silver as instructed in the user manual of Cosil47.
  2. Let this water run through the filter cartridge and allow it to become saturated with it.
  3. Disassemble the filter element and put it in a sealed container or bag and store it in the refrigerator.
  4. First flush the filter element again before using it again.
Dry: remove the filter sleeve from the cartridge and find a suitable place to let the filter dry without developing molds. But prevent the plastic caps to get heated by, for example, a heater / radiator.

And last but not least:

Care is important when using and maintaining this water filter, as it concerns the safety of your drinking water!
