The AQUA Logic Inline Duo is a compact two-stage water filter set with separate carbon and ultra elements. Perfect for those who need just a bit more capacity than the C-Ultra, but do not require a large mainline system. Suitable for use under the kitchen sink or in campers, caravans and boats.
The Inline Duo consists of two connected 10” filter housings (Gen2) containing a carbon filter and an ultrafiltration membrane. Since carbon and ultra are designed as separate elements, they can be replaced individually. The larger full-size ultra membrane also provides greater capacity and a longer service life.
Filter elements
- Activated carbon cylinder with a pore size of 1 micron.
Made from 100% organic material (coconut shell), this carbon has very high adsorption capacity for odor, color, and taste, as well as metals such as lead, plus fungi, chlorine, pharmaceutical residues and other chemicals.
- Ultrafiltration membrane with a pore size of 0.03 micron.
Filters: Pathogenic organisms – log 6 bacteria reduction: >99.9999% (including Cholera, Shigella, Typhoid, Klebsiella Terrigena, Legionella and E. coli) and cysts/protozoa (including Giardia and Cryptosporidium). Also filters micro- and nanoplastics from 0.03 micron (30 nanometers).
This filter is capable of producing safe and clean drinking water of high quality. It works without the addition of chemicals and is built from maintenance-free and corrosion-free components.
Ultra version – the best filter performance
At AQUA Logic, “Ultra” refers to filters equipped with ultrafiltration membranes with a pore size of only 0.03 micron. Ultra membrane water filters are the most modern and reliable method for removing harmful microorganisms from water.
Connecting the filter
- Screw the supplied 3/8 inch hose barbs or 3/8 inch nipples with the O-rings into the lid, so that the filter can be installed into the cold water line.
- Always check the flow direction (IN/OUT).
- Note: the 3/8 inch hose barbs are intended for use with flexible hoses (with hose clamps if needed), as often found in recreational vehicles. For connection to a fixed water line, use the 3/8 inch nipples together with 3/8 inch flexible connection hoses.
Mounting the filter system
- Mount the filter system using the supplied wall bracket.
- Allow at least 10 cm of clearance below the unit to be able to unscrew the housing and remove the filter element.
Marking the filter’s start date
- Write the date of first use on the supplied date sticker and place it visibly on the filter housing.
- The recommended maximum service life is 1 year; the actual lifespan depends on the degree of contamination in the source water.
- As long as water flows through the filter, it remains safe to drink – even if flow rate decreases.
Venting the filter
- During first use, press and hold the black vent button on top of the filter lid (while the system is pressurized and the tap is closed) until all air has escaped.
- Tip: place a cloth near the vent to catch any water that may be released.
First use
- It is recommended not to use the first 5 liters of filtered water for consumption.
- After this, the filter is ready to deliver clean and safe drinking water.
MAINTENANCE
Release water pressure
- Shut off the water supply and open the tap to release pressure from the system.
Remove the filter
- Place a bowl or towel under the filter.
- Unscrew the filter housing counterclockwise.
- Pull the filter element out of the housing with a twisting motion.
Cleaning the carbon filter element
- Use the integrated cleaning pad to firmly scrub the surface of the carbon filter element (see illustration).
- Rinse the carbon surface with water, ensuring only clean water contacts the outlet side.
- For precaution, do not use the first liter of filtered water for consumption.
Reinstalling the filter
- Insert the filter element back into the lid with a twisting motion.
- Screw the housing back on; do not overtighten – tight is tight.
- Ensure the rubber O-ring is clean and properly seated before closing the housing.
Venting the filter
- Press and hold the black vent button on top of the filter lid (while the system is pressurized and the tap is closed) until all air has escaped.
- Tip: place a cloth near the vent to catch any water that may be released.
When the flow rate decreases
- The carbon filter element can easily be cleaned again using the integrated cleaning pad.
Storage during longer absences
- Wet storage: keep the filter element in a sealed container or bag in the refrigerator.
- Dry storage: let the filter dry in the open air and store it in a clean place.
- Drying near a heat source, such as a heater or in the sun, is recommended.
- Avoid direct contact between the heat source and the plastic parts to prevent damage.
- Although the housing itself is frost-resistant, it is important to drain the filter and water system during winter storage to prevent freezing damage.
Recommendation for larger systems
Do you want to filter water for an entire house or directly purify rainwater? Then choose a larger solution: the AQUA Logic Pre-Filter Combi
in combination with the Inline XL Ultra Washable 0.01 micron
Finally
Care and attention are essential when using and maintaining this water filter, as it concerns the safety of your drinking water!
Shelf life:
Unused, the filter has an almost unlimited shelf life (store in a cool, dry and dark place).
